Air Handling & Pollution Control

Industrial Ducts

Industrial ducts are engineered pipelines designed for conveying air, fumes, dust, vapors, gases, or particulates across process equipment. They form part of air-handling, dust collection, ventilation, and pollution control systems in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, textile, cement, HVAC, and foundries.

Ducts may be round, square, or rectangular, depending on application, and are fabricated using various materials such as GI, MS, SS304/316, aluminum, or FRP. They are designed considering airflow, static pressure, temperature, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength.

A. Materials of Construction (MOC)

MaterialApplication
GI (Galvanized Iron)HVAC, general ventilation
MS (Painted / Epoxy coated)Industrial dust/fume extraction
SS304 / SS316 / SS316LFood, pharma, corrosive fumes
FRP/PP/HDPEAcidic/corrosive exhaust
AluminumLightweight, clean room HVAC

B. Duct Types

  • Round Ducts – best for low pressure drop and high airflow efficiency
  • Rectangular/Square Ducts – used in space-restricted installations
  • Spiral Ducts – rigid, aesthetic, HVAC applications
  • Flexible Ducts – short connection lengths, low pressure systems
  • Insulated Ducts – for hot/cold air transport
